Teaching Assistant for Pastoral Identity and Spiritual Care (2 Positions)

PC1103 Pastoral Identity and Spiritual Care seeks applicants for a Teaching Assistant for Spring 2026. The TA reads the course texts and attends classes alongside faculty and students. The TA supports Professor of Record in cultivating a healthy learning environment by offering peer emotional and spiritual support as well as reflective peer feedback. The TA collaborates with the Professor of Record in a weekly 30-minute planning meeting, teaches one didactic, and facilitates up to 2 guided verbatims over the course of the semester. There is no requirement to grade assignments for this class.
The ideal candidate:
- Is at least a second year LPTS student (if a transfer, has been a part of the LPTS community for at least one year).
- Practices embodied open, inclusive, and affirming intercultural practices in class and in the LPTS and global community.
- Has taken Pastoral Identity and Spiritual Care at LPTS or an equivalent pastoral/spiritual care class at a seminary.
- Has taken at least 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education in any setting (ACPE accredited site).
- Displays the characteristics and qualities of a potential CPE Educator.
