REST IS RESISTANCE by Rev. Tricia Hersey A New York Times Bestseller!

You are invited to join professors Rev. Amina S. McIntyre and Dr. Marcus A. Hong as we read together through Rev. Tricia Hersey's REST IS RESISTANCE. This timely book draws upon Rev. Hersey's ministry curating communal napping experiences as the "Nap Bishop" to articulate the power of rest, naps, and daydreaming in embodying resistance to capitalism and white supremacy. It is recommended, but not required, to attend all three sessions. You are invited to read ahead.

Refugee and Immigrant Mental Health: An Overview of Clinical Strategies and Interventions A lifelong learning opportunity.

This 2-hour interactive workshop focuses on the impact on the mental health of immigrants and refugees’ populations, their specific needs, strengths and resilience. It provides an opportunity for participants to gain new insights about the immigration process and the unique needs of immigrant communities based on their specific journeys. The workshop offers practical skills to enhance therapeutic interventions with these populations and provide more culturally evidence-based, trauma informed care.
