Academic year: Approx. 20 hours — can be shared between multiple student assistants based on interest/availability. Hours to be determined based on student schedule, during regular seminary operating hours (8:30am to 5:00pm Monday-Thursday and 9:00am to noon Fridays), with nights or weekends occasionally needed.
Summer: Approx. 20 hours per week during the summer during regular seminary operating hours (9:00am to 5pm Monday-Thursday and 9:00am to noon Fridays) that may be shared between two student assistants based on interest/availability.
Compensation: $10/hour
Overview:
The Student Assistant (SA) assists in all facets of the work of the Admissions Department, from a prospective student's initial interest to supporting New Student Day at the Mosaic Symposium. This includes reaching out to prospective students via phone, email, and Zoom, supporting visits to campus, coordinating student volunteers, and supporting travel of the department. SAs may also have the opportunity to travel if they are interested.

- demonstrate a passion for and knowledge of LPTS
- are professional and personable
- can be discreet and sensitive to confidential information
- have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- are comfortable on the phone
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional and friendly public relationship to all who contact the Office of Admissions.
- Make regular contact with prospective students by phone, email, and Zoom to offer assistance, relay deadlines, determine interest level.
- Assist with coordination campus visits for prospective students and their guests.
- Support department travel by packing suitcases and maintaining inventory of swag items.
- Support the planning and implementation of New Student Day at Mosaic Symposium
- Other duties/tasks as assigned related to the work of Admissions.
