Part-Time Enrollment Specialist
FUNCTION:
Oversee admissions application processes for all degree programs at the Seminary, guide prospective students through the application process, and then supporting the Onboarding stages for enrolling students in the handoff to Student Success.
REPORTS TO:
Enrollment Manager.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Successfully work with Admission inquiries/applicants to promptly inform them of process steps
- Prepare applications for committee review
- Meet with prospective students in-person or online to guide them in application processes and future enrollment decisions
- Serve as logistical liaison (in collaboration with Enrollment Manager) for off-campus recruitment travel, and on-campus/online prospective student and stakeholder programming
- Serve as the Onboarding lead which guides the transition of enrolling students from Admissions to Student Success, ensuring that the range of processes & campus departments are effectively coordinated
- Update Enrollment Manager on all admission application processes and issues which arise
- Availability to work in-person between 25-30 hours/week as a part of the Enrollment & Student Services team at Louisville Seminary
- Commitment to and continually working toward increasing racial, cultural, and ecumenical diversity in student recruitment and enrollment
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Enrollment Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- Commitment to theological education and vocational formation for preparation for ministry and community impact
- Experience in student enrollment and/or application processes (from possessing talents for behind-the-scenes processes, to having a strong relational capacity for prospective student engagement & application process advising)
- A vision to create and implement efficient systems of student support solutions
- An exceptional attention to detail and exceeding strength at planning/organizing student-facing processes and programming
- Experience with how technology can be innovatively used in student support and community building
- Professional competencies for dealing with confidential applicant issues, topics, and needs
- Minimum of 6 months of student support experiences in an educational/student development setting
- Bachelors degree
