Compensation: $15.00 per hour plus required on-campus housing as part of this live-in position
Position Summary
The Residential Community Assistant (RCA) is a live-in student leadership position within the Division of Enrollment & Student Success. The RCA is required to reside in assigned campus housing and partners with the Manager of Academic Success & Campus Housing to cultivate a welcoming, safe, and engaging residential community that supports student belonging, academic success, and holistic well-being through leadership, programming, relationship building, and residential operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Reside in assigned campus housing for the duration of the appointment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA and good academic and judicial standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Residence Life or Student Affairs programming experience preferred.
- Currently enrolled full-time LPTS student.
- Available to serve through May 31, 2027.
Community Development & Belonging
- Build an inclusive residential community.
- Welcome new residents and assist with move-in and move-out.
- Promote student belonging and academic success.
Student Engagement & Programming
- Plan educational, social, spiritual, and wellness programming.
- Collaborate with campus departments and assess programs.
- Submit programming documentation.
Residential Operations
- Assist with room inspections, occupancy transitions, and key management.
- Prepare residential rooms for temporary stays including D.Min. students, visiting scholars, conference guests, and emergency housing.
- Report maintenance concerns and assist with opening and closing.
Leadership & Committee Service
- Chair the Residential Life Committee (RLC).
- Serve on the Life and Liturgy Committee as the housing representative.
- Serve as liaison to the Manager of Academic Success & Campus Housing.
- Support restorative conflict resolution.
Safety, Wellness & Administration
- Promote community standards and safety.
- Complete other duties as assigned
