The following calendar is designed to assist you in the application process. Please refer to these dates as you apply to Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary for admission, scholarships, and financial aid.

September 6 First day of class (Fall)
October 5 - 6 Come to our Fall Exploratory Weekend. This event is for prospective students considering a call to congregational, counseling, or teaching ministries, and considering Louisville Seminary as a possible place to pursue graduate theological studies. There is one each Spring too!
November 1 Application deadline for Spring 2007 admission to the Mater of Arts in Religion (MAR) and Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree programs. Note: No spring admission for the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy degree program.
December 1 Housing Deadline for Spring 2008

January 1   New Year's Day (offices closed).
January 3 - 24   January term.
January 21   Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday (no classes; offices closed).
February 1  

Application deadline for Fall 2008 admission for the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) degree program.

Application deadline for international students for all degree programs.

February 4   Spring Orientation and new student Registration.

Application deadline for Fall 2008 admissions for those seeking a Scholarship for Excellence in the Master of Divinity (MDiv) and Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) programs. A scholarship nomination form (online forms) must be submitted to the Office of Admissions by February 15 for consideration.

March 1   Application deadline for special or probationary admission consideration for Fall 2008 admission to Master of Divinity (MDiv) and Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) programs. Note: No special or probation admission for Spring or in the MAMFT program.
March 7-8  Come to our Spring Exploratory Weekend. This event is for prospective students considering a call to congregational, counseling, or teaching ministries, and considering Louisville Seminary as a possible place to pursue graduate theological studies. There is one each Fall too!
March 24-28  Research and Study week (no classes; offices open)
March 20   Notification of Scholarship Recipients
March 20-21   Easter recess (no classes; offices closed)
April 15   First housing priority deadline for Fall. (Assignments are made to applicants who have been approved for admission and have appropriate deposits on file by this date.)
May 15   Second housing priority deadline. (Housing is assigned on a first-come basis to qualified applicants after this deadline.)
June 15   Application deadline for Fall 2008 admission for MDiv and MAR degree programs and financial aid consideration.
August 1   Biographical sketches due for all new students desiring a field education placement for Fall. Note: Applicants must be approved for admission and have a tuition deposit on file by this date to participate in the Fall Field Education program.
August 8-23  Transforming Seminary Education class for new students.
August 25-29

Micro-Training for new MAMFT students.

We welcome you to visit our campus! If you are not able to come to one of our Exploratory Weekend events, please visit us on a week day to sit in on classes, attend chapel, meet with faculty, students, and staff, and tour our beautiful campus. We will provide up to two nights lodging, some meals and offer a travel stipend.

Special arrangements for groups are available. We will reimburse your gas expenses up to $200 when three or more prospective students arrange for a visit. Group visits most often require a two-week notice.
