Director

Kathy Mapes is the Director of the Academic Support Center (ASC). She has extensive experience teaching and developing writing courses for both undergraduates and post-graduates and for native and non-native speakers of English. Additionally, she has broad experience in learning disabilities, adult education and adult literacy at the teaching, developmental, and administrative levels. She is an Elder at Middletown Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Tutors

Sherry Arconti grew up in the Midwest, spending much of her childhood sliding around in the pews of the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church and then graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University with a double major in English and Creative Writing. She started teaching as a graduate student at Ohio University and has taught English and writing courses for 10 years at U of L and JCC. She is currently a professional writer and working on an advanced degree in Humanities at UL.
