1 LPTS will celebrate our Presbyterian
Heritage and Reformed Tradition in an
ecumenical community.
2 LPTS will be a seminary of the Church. . . as an interracial, interdenominational, international
and interdependent koinonia of reconciliation.
3 LPTS will (continue to) demonstrate excellence
in theological education, with the MDiv program
at our core.
4 LPTS will offer flexible scheduling opportunities
for its educational programming.
(e.g. traditional and non-traditional,
full-time and half-time, residential and nonresidential,
evenings, and weekends)
5 LPTS will increase scholarship aid (in order
to compete) for MDiv and underrepresented
students.
6 LPTS will
- increase # of endowed faculty chairs
- increase size of existing endowed chairs.
7 LPTS will
- increase the size of the endowment
- reduce the endowment draw to 5.5%.
8 LPTS will concentrate current resources to
focus on our core mission.
9 LPTS will (continue to) play a significant role
in hearing and responding to the urgent need
for small church pastors.
10 LPTS will upgrade and properly maintain
our physical campus assets.
